Spring Wedding at the UBC Boathouse

 

Doesn’t the pair of shoes look like a heart? So cute. And so were the bride and groom at this lovely spring wedding we shot at the UBC Boathouse in March. A white wedding preceded by a traditional tea ceremony – the bride wore two dresses that day! Coordinated by the fab Almira at Piece of Cake Weddings, catered by The Butler Did It Catering, and also shared the evening with Photobooth Vancouver. The wedding was a blast!

The victory shout in the last shot says it all! Congrats you happy couple!! Thanks for letting us be a part of your day – we were so honoured!

Downtown Vancouver portrait session with Khash

 

Last week I did a portrait session with a new Sutton realtor Khash Raeisi outside at the Vancouver Convention Centre. The weather has been hit or miss lately in Vancouver, but luckily the rain held off just long enough to capture these new profile shots.

Semiha and Tarek Sneak Peek

 

Semiha and Tarek were married in September in a lovely, intimate Muslim ceremony – with Semiha wearing traditional Serbian clothing to reflect her heritage. She then changed into a traditional”Western” bridal gown and away we went on location snapping pics around Vancouver!

The result? A gorgeous ceremony and day with a gorgeous couple. Check out the detail on Semiha’s traditional wedding outfit! Envy!

We were delighted to be the photographers for Rachel and Tyler’s New Year’s Eve wedding at the awesome Fraser River Lodge in Agassiz. Wow. Surrounded by mountains, bison(!), quiet, and crisp cold air – it was a stunner of a day and a stunner of a wedding. Check it out!

New Year, New Location!

 

Happy New Year!! Happy new digs!!

As we move happily into 2012, we here at bhp are all a-flurry of excitement! Not only was the big man in the red suit just here but we have moved into new digs! Business is booming so we’ve said goodbye to our tiny-but-cute studio in South Granville and bought a house!

We’ve set up in beautiful Port Moody! We fell in love with the area when we were here shooting Ashley and Sheldon’s wedding in the summer and we have already told them that we blame them for making us buy a house here!  Seriously though, the gorgeous views, the water and beaches, and still we’re close to everything in the big city!

We’re delighted to announce therefore that we have a new place to see clients in the Tri-Cities – Port Moody, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam – and well as outlying cities!

We’re still always in Vancouver (and around the general GVRD), too, so don’t fret. We just have more flexibility than ever as to where we can meet our clients!

So, choose a snazzy Gastown office, a cosy Port Moody locale, or anywhere in between – we’re here for you when and where you need us. (And you can still reach us by our same phone number: 778-918-8307). See you soon!

Rita and Jack at the Dockside Lounge

After having shot a wedding at the Dockside restaurant, we were excited to document Rita and Jack’s November wedding at the Dockside lounge! We ourselves had an intimate wedding so we were interested to see how an intimate wedding at the lounge would be designed and celebrated. Rita and Jack are a cool couple so we knew this would be a cool wedding. Be sure to watch the slideshow to see more of the inside ceremony.
