FAQ
-
Why choose us, you might ask?
We're friendly, funny, and a little geeky - just the right combination to make you feel comfortable and relaxed around us. In the office, however, bOB is uncompromising when it comes to perfecting your images.
What kind of high-end work has bOB done?
bOB has shot photos of Mayors of the Interior of BC, CEOs of companies, real estate panoramas, large high-end private parties at upscale restaurants, and acreage developments - we just can't show you because bOB was working for someone else and doesn't own the rights to the photos (so you know that your confidentiality will also be maintained!). bOB has also previously owned his own studio in Ontario, showcasing and overseeing the development of upcoming photographers and artists.

Why can you feel confident in choosing bOB HOmer as your photographer?
bOB is a quality professional photographer with professional equipment and over 10 years of expertise in using it! He's dedicated and has had a passion for photography his whole life - he graduated from art school which had a large photography component, provided him with the education for technical sensibilities to match the depth of his creativity. bOB knows that, although much of photography comes down to math (really!), many photographers neglect the artistic side of the shoot. Even so, bOB continually strives to learn more as he keeps up with technology and advances. Furthermore, bOB is a member of the Professional Photographers of Canada, Wedding & Portrait Photographers International, and the Canada Wedding Photographers Associations.

-
How soon after my wedding will I get my proofs?
We'll have a private proofing website set up for you within a week.
What is the difference between high-resolution and full-resolution photos?
We shoot our pictures RAW, which is often referred to as a true digital negative. This means that images are shot and saved in full-resolution, with far more latitude for editing than with pictures taken from a camera that automatically converts them to high-resolution JPEGs. Professionals shoot in RAW in order to have greater control in editing images, such as colour correction, balance, and sharpening, allowing us to present you with the best photos we can! We give you the high-resolution JPEGs that we create from the RAW images.
-
What happens if it rains?
We advise one backup photo location to be chosen but we'll also shoot in the rain!
What should I know for my newborn shoot?
For that curled-up-sleeping-baby look, we advise having your newborn photos done within the first two weeks of life.
Do you have an assistant?
bOB's partner Jen is his Girl Friday - helping with lighting, taking care of the paper work, attending to the clients - needs (and she carries the client emergency kit!), etc. She's bOB's right hand gal at shoots and in the office.
-
What about a back-up photographer?
bOB has a network of professional photographers at hand to fill in, should something serious arise.
Do you provide negatives?
No, we retain the full-resolution RAW images should you ever wish to have more prints made. If you wish to own the full-resolution raw images, we can discuss an option for buy-out.
Cancellation and Rescheduling policy - for weddings
In the event the Client must cancel the contracted services for wedding photography, the Photographer agrees to refund all money paid, excluding the Reservation Deposit of $250.

Cancellation and Rescheduling policy - for non-wedding shoots
In the event of rain, we can reschedule if necessary. We will determine if we cannot work in the rainfall based on current weather conditions. In the event that you are going to be late for your shoot, please contact us ASAP. If we wait more than 15 minutes without hearing from you, you may end up forfeiting your session. Cancellation requires 24 hrs notice, unless in the event of grave personal emergency. Should 24 hours notice not be given, you may end up forfeiting your session with a 30 minute session fee being applied to the credit card number given at time of booking. We reserve the right to limit the number of sessions rescheduled.
What about our rehearsal?
If desired by you, we'd actually like to drop by the wedding rehearsal to scope out the layout and plan for the big day. We can also take a few shots of you while we're there.
